Week 2

When it comes to learning preferences I found one particular case with one of my students that caught my attention. She seemed to need a lot of help on everything but when I would try to help her she already knew what to do. I then realized she just wanted my attention. She likes working with adults more than her classmates but also by herself. I think she is either a Kinesthetic learner because she likes to move around a lot and she is better doing things hands on. I also think she might be an auditory learner because she likes when you read her the questions out loud.

Week 1

My first week at my field site was better than I had expected. It was exiting to go back to my old school after five years! The teacher, Mrs. Prince, was friendly and she welcomed me into her classroom. The first thing I noticed when entering the classroom was all the books spread out around the room. The room was full of bright colors and all kinds of learning equipment.The students themselves were very welcoming also. They each introduced themselves and told me a little about themselves. It really made me smile when the kids hugged me and one of the little girls gave me a bracelet. I am very exited for this year and I think I will have a good experience.

Image Scrimmage Improvements

When looking over my Image Scrimmage scores I realized that I need to improve my confidence at the time of performance. When I demonstrated how to read a book I found myself struggling to speak fluently and loudly. If I could improve my performance I would have chosen a book with speaking parts so that I could make at least try to make character voices. During my "How To" Demonstration I had the same problem with speaking fluently. I would have liked to use a power point or a poster because it seemed to be helpful to everybody else. I wish I would have been more creative on both Performances.
